week 2 online homework!

What do i desire more?

Hmm, well i really desire for a high-tech house , not so high-tech but inclusive of technology enhancement. Like having to access ur bedroom using ur palm or something, so that you’ll have more privacy.
Secondly, i really desire to have an automated car where by just press destination, they will bring you to wherever we want. Not forgetting, i really desire to have a safer and cleaner and unpolluted environment!!!

But to think of the desires that i want, maybe just maybe they will make the world full of unsocialised and leaving lazy people around, therefor i think it’s really great to cut down on our desires. Or else we will be so dependent on the things around us.

Less desire: hmm, lesser road congestion, more soother journey to and fro from the desinated places we heading to, and i really cannot think much for the less desire.

Posted in DM 1238- IMM on July 14, 2009 by ayuuhidayu
  1. What is a multimedia CD-ROM title?

-Multimedia CD-ROM title is an application which consists of user-interface whereby users can
interact with it. Be it for educational or other purposes which is informational.

  2. What are some application of CD-ROM title design? Eg. Educational. Bring examples, if any.

-There are many kinds of CD-ROM title design applications. For example, games like The SIMS, Grand Theft Auto where by they have to be accesed from menus and so on.
There are also educational ones, like the Adobe Cs4 dreamweaver tutorial CD-ROM.

  3. What are the differences between website design and CD-ROM title design? As for website design:

They have many constraints and limitations, like the used of optimised images, graphics and et cetra.
This is so because the designer would want to achieve faster loading time so that they won’t lose their users. As for CD-ROM title design:
Thier space are very large if im not wrong 700mb.
No constraints and lesser worries. For example, taking consideration of whether is it loading fast/slow.

interactivity part 1

interactivity part 2

interactivity part 3

Why i have chosen this as my awesome experience?
I have chosen this video because personally i find it very interesting yet hilarious, fun, enjoyable, creative and also very awesome!!
The reason is basically because we can do whatever we want and the end result is superbly great. For instance, unexpected facial expressions of yourself or your friends. Hence in this case, my friends and myself had a wonderful time playing with the web-cam. Not only did it surprises us what this interactive web-cam can do but it’s all about the experiences that all of us had. Futhermore, all of this can result to friends or families to bond and interact more with one another so that we could build stronger relationship and understand the need of spending quality time even at a minimal time available.

Did we enjoy that moment?

Definitely a big YES!! As you all can see from the 3 videos i uploaded, all shows that everyone of us were so eager to express oneself. Even so, from there we can know the true colors of our friends. For instance, u assumed that your friend is a timid kind of person, however through this activity or interactivity experience we will know that there’s more to what we see with our naked eyes.

Keywords on interactivity:
- Enjoyable
-endless fun
-new experinces
-reactions
-socialising
-interacting
-bonding
-eagerness

  1. What do  you think about the site? ( 3 words)
    -Boring and dull
-so wordy, not catchy to the eye of the users
-not updated at all  “Updated on May 02, 2007″ quoted from the site.
    oh my god!!
  2. Who do you think the site is created for?
Customers of this fashion and also members for updates on the memberships.
  3. What are the good attributes of the site ( in terms of usibitlity , aesthetic issues, etc)?
I guess the website is straight forward, this is because they can navigate by just clicking on any of the tabs and they will reach to the information they wanted. For example, where is the location of  This Fashion in Singapore.
  4. What are the bad attributes of the site?
One thing for sure, the site have not been UPDATED!! It is super plain boring because the term “This Fashion” in a way is supposed to be lively more colours and not dull. Since their purpose is to sell of clothes. they should have showed more pictures . For example, be a trend setter for young adults and teenagers? since after all the term “This Fashion” is to sell of fashion. Hence, since it’s the 21st century, the website have to show more sense of modernisation and also make it alive, like make it call to the eye of the users.

Homework week 3: FLowCharts

print

colorchart

The Differences

As for the print site, personally i feel that the navigations is much more clearer and straightforward as compared to the colorchart site.
This is because, in the print site we can easily manage like for example we have to follow through all the process before moving on to the next.
However, for the colorchart site, we can navigate as freely as we want either going to read about the introduction or just view the works.

In this two website example there does not seem to be much different because both brings us to the same thing which is finding information about the particular thing or artist works.

Class Activity:
Is text it necessary to make a book interesting?

(Based on the yellow umbrella book)

I personally feel that it is not as necessary to have text in a book to make it interesting because it depends on one imagination. Why i said this is because while reading a text from a book it requires us to think and imagine as creatively as possible about the scenario of the stories. Hence same goes for the just plain pictures ans a music to go with like the yellow umbrella book. Just by listening to the melody and just looking at the stationary pictures we could already imagine what will happen next or what the atmosphere is like.

Futhermore, to make a book interesting it depends on oneself because the readers are the one whom will get their emotions involved so either way, it will be interesting though. Inspite a little fact that i seems a litlle bit boring for me during the class activity because it took so long just to imgaine and get over to the next page. It is quite mundane though.

However, in this case it is best to see who is your targetted audience. Children might enjoy the yellow umbrella book more because it may be interesting for them.

my lift design
The design click on the link bellow to see it clearly.
lift

Users can press 2 digits for example you want to go to level
78 then press number 7 followed by 8.

The workers could also scan their ID card there because
in their other card it would specify which level they usually
have to go.

In case of emergency, they can press for help and
talk to the technician officer in-charge. Hence, if
there is any case where anyone fainted you could
also press  for help and talk at the speaker bellow.
