The Differences
As for the print site, personally i feel that the navigations is much more clearer and straightforward as compared to the colorchart site.
This is because, in the print site we can easily manage like for example we have to follow through all the process before moving on to the next.
However, for the colorchart site, we can navigate as freely as we want either going to read about the introduction or just view the works.
In this two website example there does not seem to be much different because both brings us to the same thing which is finding information about the particular thing or artist works.
Class Activity:
Is text it necessary to make a book interesting?
(Based on the yellow umbrella book)
I personally feel that it is not as necessary to have text in a book to make it interesting because it depends on one imagination. Why i said this is because while reading a text from a book it requires us to think and imagine as creatively as possible about the scenario of the stories. Hence same goes for the just plain pictures ans a music to go with like the yellow umbrella book. Just by listening to the melody and just looking at the stationary pictures we could already imagine what will happen next or what the atmosphere is like.
Futhermore, to make a book interesting it depends on oneself because the readers are the one whom will get their emotions involved so either way, it will be interesting though. Inspite a little fact that i seems a litlle bit boring for me during the class activity because it took so long just to imgaine and get over to the next page. It is quite mundane though.
However, in this case it is best to see who is your targetted audience. Children might enjoy the yellow umbrella book more because it may be interesting for them.
